Put Your Blackjack Skills To The Test With 21
If you read our DVD reviews with any regularity, you’ll find that most of our DVD critics don’t have much appreciation for the tacked on “set-top” games that are tossed onto a lot of DVDs. Typically, they have little to do with the movie, or they require too specific a button push, or they don’t offer much to hold the attention of a three year old, let alone an adult.
Thankfully, Sony is finally offering an included game that makes sense. On the upcoming July 22nd release of this year’s 21, you’ll be able to play Blackjack – a game that ties in perfectly with the movie’s plot and story. The game will even give you tips to count cards in the virtual “classroom” before heading out into the “casino” to put your skills to the test.
Unfortunately for those who haven’t jumped up to high-definition formats, the virtual Blackjack game will only be available on the Blu-ray version of the movie, which will be released on single-disc and two-disc DVD, and (obviously) Blu-ray. The DVD releases do have a fair amount of extras, including that ever popular digital copy to use on your laptop or iPod.
Take a look at what Sony has announced for the July 22nd release of 21:
- 21 Special Features (Single Disc DVD)
