Sarah Silverman's Program Comes To DVD
Sarah Silverman may have finally found a match that works wonders for her. Comedy Central gives Silverman exposure to a wider audience than pay channels like HBO, but allows her to push the line with her crude humor. The result is a series that has both fans and newcomers praising Silverman and has turned out to be surprisingly successful.
Paramount has announced a release date for Season One of “The Sarah Silverman Program,” coming to DVD on October 2nd. I think their description of the show sums it up best: In this first season of the critically acclaimed The Sarah Silverman Program, Sarah gets hepped up on cough syrup, takes in a homeless man and poops her pants.
To be totally honest, I’m a bit surprised this isn’t an “uncensored” cut of the series, allowing stuff to be shown that didn’t make it on Comedy Central. Right now we only have packaging to go off of, but there’s no indication this is different from what’s on television. Hopefully there will be some good outtakes or bloopers included at the very least.
