Say Happy Mother's Day With DVDs
May 10th seems like a long way away, but there’s no harm planning for Mother’s Day early. Twentieth Century Fox and MGM Home Entertainment are here to help you out. On April 7th, there will be a number of gift options for you to pick up.
First, you can buy a specially marked copy of The Devil Wears Prada, Thelma & Louise or Unfaithful and get a special code that allows you to redeem between $5 and $100 of spa cash. If your mother would take a pass on the manicure and massage, you may opt to buy her a DVD giftset instead. There’s tons of options including “Laughs & Locks Collection” (Beauty Shop, Nora’s Hair Salon 2, The Salon); “Women in Charge Collection” (Baby Boom, Thelma & Louise, Working Girl); “Women in Love Collection” (One Fine Day, Return To Me, A Walk In the Clouds); and “Laughs, Love and Lyrics Collection” (9 to 5, The Rose, Hello Dolly).
Box sets usually frustrate me. There’s always one film that you absolutely love and would be glad to add to your library. Unfortunately, alongside it is a film that isn’t worth breaking a nail to peel the security seal off. Surprisingly, this is not the case with these options. All of the films are enjoyable and they seems to have been thoughtfully grouped together. The best part is they only cost $19.98. As long as you're able to pinpoint the collection that most appeals to your mother, one of these sets could be a sure thing to put a smile on her face.
The only thing missing from the menu of Mother’s Day specials is a Blu-ray option. I recently purchased a Blu-ray player for my mother, which she absolutely loves. I was thinking some fresh films to add to her collection could be a good gift option. I might even think to buy her some of the films on this list, but they only come in DVD versions. Perhaps I’ll need the two and a half months to think about this one.
