See Clips From The Original Witch Mountain Movies
In celebration of this week’s Race to Witch Mountain, Disney has re-released the original Witch Mountain movies under a new “Family Classics” banner. Previously released with both movies in one set (but no bonus materials), the releases price in around $15 each, and have several bonus features, including a “lost interview” with Christopher Lee from Return to Witch Mountain.
Disney has also been kind enough to send over a couple of clips from each movie to remind you about these classic pictures. I have fond memories of these, particularly the first one, Escape to Witch Mountain. Watching these clips, removed from the context of the film as a whole, I have to wonder why. These aren’t exactly the best representation of the movies, or at least not as I remember them. As I watch these new “Family Classics” releases, we’ll see how well my memory stacks up with the reality of these movies, over thirty years after they were originally released.
Check out clips from the original movies, Escape to Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain below, as well as the cover art for the two re-releases.
