See Dane Cook's Failures On DVD
Dane Cook is putting together a hell of a career. His “Tourgasm” gave an intriguing look behind the scenes on a comedy tour. He’s getting hooked up with more beautiful women than any other man thanks to projects like Good Luck Chuck (where that poster on the right comes from) He’s even shown his more serious side in this year’s Mr. Brooks. But a comedian’s life is not always success, sunshine, and flowers.
No, Dane Cook has had his share of failures as well. Like any good comedian, he’s recorded several pilots for television shows that, for some reason or another, just didn’t get picked up. Normally the average Joe never sees pilot episodes like that, but Sony has decided to cash in on Dane’s success and give you a chance to see what never was. They’ve put together two of his failed pilots together in what they’re calling “Dane Cook: The Lost Pilots”.
Of course, you have to have more than two half hour rejections to sell a DVD release like this, so Sony is adding in other material as well, including “Dane’s Antics and Ad Libs”, gag reels, and deleted scenes. Wait a minute, deleted scenes? From shows that were, themselves, deleted? How redundant can you get?
Still, Dane Cook probably has the following to make a release like this worthwhile. The DVD comes out on August 28th. Check out the artwork below:
