Seek the Truth on DVD
Election Day is over. The results are in and the slanderous campaigns are over, so now let’s turn our focus towards one of the more positive things to come from the political world in the last few years: the Al Gore documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. The highly praised environmental film hits DVD on November 21st.
The film meshes Al Gore’s personal history with his campaign to increase awareness about global warming. Suprising for a man who was considered to be dull when he ran for President, Gore manages to be humorous and serious in an argument that has been described as compelling and frequently emotional.
True to its environmental roots, the film is being packaged in 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper, with no inserts, laminates, or plastics to be found. No bonus material is being included with the disc other than the film, theoretically to make the smallest environmental footprint possible. The only bonus material will be a link on the back of the DVD package pointing teachers to www.climatecrisis.org for a downloadable educational guide (hopefully somewhere it will remind teachers to download the guide but not print it out to help save paper).
