Tigger Will Bounce On DVD No Matter What Rabbit Says
Here’s one for the kiddies. On April 7th, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will release My Friends Tigger & Pooh: Tigger, Pooh and a Musical Too! on DVD.
This new full-length movie features Tigger, Pooh and the rest of the gang from the hit Disney Playhouse Block show. When Rabbit is chosen to be honorary mayor for the Hundred Acre Wood’s annual picnic, he begins posting rules that all of his friends must abide by. A “no bouncing” rule puts Tigger over the edge. I’m not quite sure what a Super Sleuth is, but according to Disney, they “realize that treating each other with kindness and respect is the most important lesson of all.” That sounds about right.
Teaching a valuable lesson is the major requirement of any film directed towards the youngest audiences, so My Friends Tigger & Pooh must have something going for it. It’s fairly obvious that I will not be recommending this DVD for anyone over the age of ten that doesn’t have children under the age of ten. Then again, there are always some people who suffer from a desperation to return to their past or simply enjoy this kind of stuff.
For $26.99, you’ll get the film as well as the “Rabbit’s Think, Think, Think Theater” game and a sing-along viewing mode.
