The Zodiac Killer Gets Blu
David Fincher’s serial killer biopic Zodiac is headed for high-definition with a Blu-ray release coming January 27th. The two-disc director’s cut is similar to what you’ve seen on DVD, down to the cool themed packaging, although converted to high definition.
Unlike a lot of DVD to Blu-ray conversions, Paramount has made the choice to upgrade a lot of the bonus materials to a high definition presentation as well, instead of just the film itself. I hope that’s a move that we’ll see happen more frequently, but for now I’m happy Paramount is catching on that more than just the movie should be a higher quality presentation.
I haven’t seen Zodiac, but I imagine, with David Fincher at the helm, this is a movie that will look really good on Blu-ray. I plan on checking it out when it comes out January 27th. For now, here’s a look at what you’ll find on the two-disc edition.
