How You Can Get A Discounted Xbox One For A Limited Time
For a limited time Microsoft will enable gamers to get their hands on an Xbox One at a discounted price while "supplies last". The discount will be part of Microsoft's summer sale and gamers will be able to leverage some decent bundled deals out of the limited time discount.
Gamespot is reporting that all of the Xbox One 500GB consoles are discounted down to $250. That's cheaper than most Wii U bundles.
The article details that you'll be able to get the Xbox One bundled with various games as well, including the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle. For those of you who don't know, the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle contains a copy of the remastered edition of the original HD release of Gears of War from 2006, along with an Xbox One 500GB unit and an Xbox One controller. Over on the official Xbox website they show that the bundle is marked down from $349.99 to $249.99.
The Quantum Break bundle is also marked down, even though the game just came out this past April. The white Xbox One 500GB unit comes with Quantum Break, and there's a bonus code packaged inside that allows gamers to download a free backwards compatible Xbox 360 copy of Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake.
That's actually a really good deal... the Quantum Break bundle. You get two games and the 500GB Xbox One for only $249.99. That's actually way cheaper than the current Wii U Mario Kart 8 bundle available at most retailers. The 32GB Wii U bundled with Mario Kart 8 is still going for $299.99 at most places.
One of the other really good bundles is the Rare Replay bundle, which comes with a 500GB Xbox One unit. Now the reason this bundle is so good is because the Rare Replay comes with 30 playable games on a single disc. It's a collection of games made by Rare over the years, including Perfect Dark, Kameo: Elements of Power, Banjo Kazooie, and Conker to name just a few. There are a lot of really high-quality and nostalgia-driven games bundled into Rare Replay. So the $249.99 bundle isn't a bad deal at all.
Two of the other bundles include Forza Motorsport 6 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. The two games came out last year for the Xbox One. We didn't hear much about Forza Motorsport 6, the game seemed to launch and then quickly fade away from the media spotlight. Regardless, it's available as part of Microsoft's summer sale alongside Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Now Gamespot is also reporting that GameStop is escalating the deal with a 1TB Xbox One console for $239.99. The deal is only available for pre-owned Xbox One units but if you wanted that extra 500GB space, it's definitely something to consider given how big games are these days and the fact that every game you get (whether digitally or via physical disc) still has to be installed in its entirety on the hard drive.
The discount for the Xbox One being as low as $249.99 will only last for a limited time until the supplies last. Microsoft is likely trying to make room for the Xbox One S units due out at the end of the summer.
