Injustice 2 Is Bringing The Ninja Turtles And More In New DLC
NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that Injustice 2's Fighter Pack 3 is set to arrive soon and there are three new character slots and six new characters joining the game. How is that possible? Well, because the four fighting bros from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are joining the roster.
The news was let loose over on the official Injsutice YouTube channel and was followed up by a press release from Warner Bros., detailing the upcoming additions to Injustice 2 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
The game's latest DLC will feature Enchantress, Atom, and all four of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The trailer starts with Raiden and Black Mantis being blasted down in a warehouse before it blows up thanks to some oil drums spilling over. Atom manages to escape the building in time and lands on the ground, only to be confronted by the Enchantress.
Now if you came off the Suicide Squad movie and felt like Enchantress was one of the best parts about the film, you might be disappointed to find out that NetherRealm went in the complete opposite direction with her design for Injustice 2.
However, if you're a fan of the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic books, cartoons and movies from the late 1980s and early 1990s, you will be absolutely thrilled to know that NetherRealm has worked with Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird to bring the original turtles to life in a depiction that mirrors the live-action 1990 film.
As you can see, the turtles don't have noses, have the muscular but stocky bodies, and look like the puppets from the martial arts flick. NetherRealm made sure to steer clear of the highly criticized depiction of the turtles in the CGI remakes produced by Michael Bay.

As showcased in the trailer, NetherRealm even paid homage to that iconic scene in the first live-action film where Raphael met Casey Jones in the park, wearing the trench coat and hat. The fan-service nods are off the scale in the trailer.
Unfortunately, we don't get to see them fighting (yet) but we do get to see them all formed up and fans are undoubtedly excited for the new additions to the game.
The four turtles will be featured under one character slot, presumably with the skin swaps and gear changes allowing you to mix and match which turtle you bring into battle.
The game is set to arrive on PC starting November 14th, which is around the time where Atom's early access run will take place for those who purchased Injustice 2: Ultimate Edition. Following that the characters will become available for those who paid extra for all the DLC character packs. Later on, each character will be available for purchase separately via the cash shop for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
