Life Is Strange: Before The Storm Is Getting A Physical Release

Deck Nine and Square Enix will be giving gamers even more Life Is Strange in the form of the new Life is Strange: Before The Storm physical edition. The special release of the teen drama will be available for physical purchase for PC, PS4 or Xbox One.

The news was made available through the Life is Strange Tumblr blog, where it was announced that starting March 6th 2018 the special bonus episode "Farewell" will be made available for home console and PC gamers. And that starting March 9th in both Europe and North America, there will be a physical rendition of Life is Strange: Before The Storm made available.

According to the post, there will be three different physical versions made available for eager fans, including a standard version of the game that comes on disc. The standard version will only be available in the U.S., during the initial March 6th launch, but it will eventually launch in other territories at a later date.

The limited edition will be available at participating retailers and will include the base version of Life Is Strange: Before The Storm along with the game's original soundtrack, which will be packed in on a CD. The limited edition will also come with the physical art book, featuring concepts, drawings, screenshots, press material and art work based on Life is Strange.

The third and final version of the physical release will be the vinyl edition, which comes with everything from the standard edition and the limited edition, but it also packs all that stuff into a special, exclusively made presentation box. Additionally, you'll receive the complete soundtrack on a white and pink vinyl album set, along with the CD soundtrack, and a special mixtape mode.

Now all three versions will include additional bonus digital content, including the bonus episode called "Farewell", which features Max Caulfield and Chloe Price before the two separated. This episode also brought back both the original voice actors from the very first season of Dontnod Entertainment's Life is Strange, reprising their roles for this short episodic adventure.

And speaking of the original game... the bonus digital content will also include the first episode from the first season of Life is Strange. So you'll have the content before the prequel, the entire prequel, and the very first episode to help tie all of the story elements in together.

The digital mixtape mode will also be present, which will allow you to mix and match what songs play during the game by creating a playlist of all the licensed music featured in Before The Storm. There's also the inclusion of some bonus outfits as well, which you can choose to have Chloe wear during the game.

Also, there's a limited figurine set of Chloe and Rachel that will be available at select retailers.

If you decide to pre-order from the Square Enix store, keep in mind that it does not come with a physical copy of Life Is Strange, but rather a digital download code. So keep that in mind.
