Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Details Special Editions, Season Pass
Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal, and Square Enix are prepping for the September release of the hotly anticipated third-person action-adventure game, Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Ahead of the release, the studios have released information on the various special editions and the season pass that will be available alongside the base game.
IGN is reporting that there will be special editions available for all three platforms, along with a season pass and pre-order bonuses. There will be a Standard Edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition, a Croft Edition, and an Ultimate Edition. Anyone who pre-orders any of the special editions will gain instant access to the game 48 hours before everyone else.
All versions of the game will also have pre-order bonus access to additional skill booster packs, and a PS4 exclusive dynamic theme for those of you who get the PS4 version.
The Digital Deluxe edition of Shadow of the Tomb Raider comes with two additional weapons and outfits, along with the original game soundtrack and the base game. This also includes everything from the vanilla version of the game.
The Croft Edition of Square Enix's third outing in the rebooted trilogy features everything from the standard version of the game along with everything from the Digital Deluxe version of the game, which includes the OST, and it comes with three additional weapons and outfits for you to use in order to customize Lara with. Additionally, the Croft Edition comes with the season pass, which includes seven additional challenge tombs, seven additional weapons, outfits and special skills, and multiple narrative-oriented side missions.
The last of the special editions is the Ultimate Edition. The Ultimate Edition of Shadow of the Tomb Raider contains everything from the Croft Edition, which means it also includes everything from the Digital Deluxe Edition and everything from the Standard Edition, but it also comes with even more stuff. You'll receive a specially designed Tomb Raider flashlight, a bottle opener fashioned after Lara Croft's climbing axe, and a statue featuring Lara climbing over a chiseled head with a machete in hand.
For those of you who are only interested in the base game and the season pass, it's revealed that the season pass will contain a new adventure being made available each and every month. So the developers will have a bevy of new content ready for release alongside the game that you'll be able to access with a season pass.

We still don't know much about Shadow of the Tomb Raider, even after Square Enix revealed the newest announcement trailer for the game, but we do know that it will wrap up the introductory trilogy for Lara Croft that began with the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot and carried over into Rise of the Tomb Raider in 2015.
We do know that the game will feature the stealth and set-piece oriented, action-adventure elements that have made the rebooted series popular, and even carried over into the new Tomb Raider movie series, but as far as the plot is concerned the only thing they've revealed so far is that Lara Croft is finishing off Trinity from their last encounter in the previous game. You can look for Shadow of the Tomb Raider to launch for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 14th.
