Josh Brolin Doesn't Get Thanos Dancing In Fortnite
Epic Games and Marvel Entertainment teamed up to allow for Thanos from Avengers: Infinity War to appear in the Battle Royale mode of Fortnite. The game is practically everywhere, and Josh Brolin was invited to take a look at Thanos kicking butt and dancing in the Battle Royale title... except, Brolin didn't really understand the whole dancing thing.
The video was posted over on the IGN YouTube page, where we see Brolin briefly taking a look at the moment where Thanos is dancing his butt off in Fortnite.
The interview was supposed to be for Deadpool 2, which also stars Brolin as the time-traveling soldier, Cable, opposite of Ryan Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool. During the interview, IGN handed Brolin a phone playing a few clips of Thanos in Fortnite, where he flies around, smashes people, and dances.
Brolin notes that in Avengers: Infinity War he doesn't remember Thanos doing any flying. He quips "That's fake," just before breaking out into a smile and talking about how cool it is seeing Thanos smash the ground and take out some unsuspecting blokes below. He asks what game it is and then he's told it's Fortnite, where he has a more animated reaction to the name, saying that it's been everywhere and he's been hearing all about Epic's Battle Royale title and the crossover with Thanos.
But then the moment of truth arrives, and Brolin then sees Thanos dancing in an open field. Quizzically he asks "Oh, look at that... he's dancing. So what's the deal?" He jokes that it's like "Michael 'Thanos' Jackson," and asks once again "Why's he dancing?" this time a little more seriously. The actor seemed a bit perplexed at the idea that the purple, mad titan would be dancing around in a battlefield.
He more seriously states "I don't understand" as he looks at the clips of Thanos dancing around, even removing his glasses while watching the clip.
What's interesting here is that Brolin actually seemed interested in understanding why Thanos was dancing. The interviewer explains that the Infinity War villain just killed a bunch of people so he's dancing as a way to taunt and express his enthusiasm for victory. This doesn't render the most endearing response from Brolin, who carefully lays his glasses on the ground and then says "I don't know if I like that." But then he goes right back to joking and busting out his own dance moves briefly, saying "It's so weird."

But, he manages to recover from the serious criticism by saying that he wishes he had done the mo-cap for Thanos in Fortnite because he could have implemented his own dance moves. He also jokes about being a great dancer, saying his go-to dance move is spinning on his back with his legs in the air.
While Thanos being a dance machine in Epic Games' Battle Royale title didn't seem to make a lot of sense to Brolin, he did manage to crack a few jokes at the expense of the feature in the game.
