Count Dooku Arrives In Star Wars Battlefront II This Month

Keeping in line with the developmental roadmap that was rolled out way back in the late summer of 2018, DICE has confirmed that one of the key villains of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Count Dooku, will be making his appearance in Star Wars: Battlefront II this month.
Now in the original roadmap from back in August, we knew that Count Dooku was on the way but we didn't know when he would be arriving in the action-oriented sci-fi shooter from DICE. However, Polygon managed to narrow down the release date of the content, pinning the release of Count Dooku down to January 23rd for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Dooku's arrival in the game will be followed immediately by a Battle Point Event set to take place that weekend between January 25th and January 27th. The event makes gamers able to acquire the heroes and villains in the game for half the amount of required Battle Points that it usually costs to get the characters.
The Battle Point event will only apply to certain modes and during certain eras. So if you play the maps where those heroes are discounted, you'll be able to take advantage of the Battle Points event.
Polygon also notes that the original voice of Count Dooku for the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television show, Corey Burton, will also be returning to voice the character for his appearance in Star Wars: Battlefront II.
The addition of Dooku comes shortly after DICE and Electronic Arts included Obi-Wan Kenobi to the game, decked out in his various battle garb. The character arrived at the end of November, while Obi-Wan's rumored movie was seemingly put on the shelf.
Now we don't get to see any of Count Dooku's moves in action, or whether or not he'll be retaining his wide-sweeping fencing art-style that he utilized throughout The Clone Wars television series (which has actually been revived by Disney), but we do know that he's coming soon. So expect more screenshots, trailers, and a solid rundown of the character over on the Star Wars: Battlefront II website.

Battlefront II initially got off to a rocky start due to the loot box controversy, which not only altered the way the game's monetary system was set-up, but it also ended up grabbing the attention of local and international gambling commissions and gambling regulators, creating a fierce debate over the legality of loot boxes.
Since then, DICE and Electronic Arts have been working overtime to pump out more content for Battlefront II, even moving some people over from Battlefield V to flesh out and stabilize the developmental roadmap for the Star Wars game.
Following the release of Count Dooku, General Grievious, and Obi-Wan, the roadmap notes that the Clone Trooper Coruscant Guard costumes will be available, along with Anakin Skywalker in February, followed by a brand new game mode. Gamers can also look forward to stepping into the role as the 501st unit, better known as "Vader's Fist". So the end of January and all throughout February will be jam-packed with new content.
