Who Will Win Super Bowl 53 According To Madden NFL 19
With the Super Bowl 53 just right around the corner, it's that time of the year again where Electronic Arts rolls out a simulation of the upcoming game within its very own Madden NFL 19 video game to see who might win between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams.
EA Sports rolled out a minute-long video recapping how the game will go down between the Super Bowl finalists as they go head to head in Sunday's game. The video was posted up over on the official EA Sports YouTube channel, giving gamers a look at how the electronic game will simulate the real-life encounter set to take place on February 3.
The video is kind of a jumbled, incoherent collage breaking down the players rather than the plays. Unlike the Tecmo Super Bowl prediction, which actually played through an 18-minute simulation of what would happen between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots, EA Sports' simulation within Madden NFL 19 was more of a spotlight on the key players who might help bring their team to victory, specifically a victory that the game predicts will go to the Rams in a final 30 to 27 showdown in the fourth quarter.
It's hard to get a proper breakdown of who scored what during which quarter, but it looks like Tom Brady makes the first play to help push the team into touchdown territory with the help of James White. In fact, the board states that Brady will make two touchdowns during the game and one interception. There's a turnover from a sack by Aaron Donald from the Los Angeles Rams, though at which point in the game this happens I'm not sure. What we do know is that after a back and forth, there's an interception from Devin McCourty later into the game, followed by a field goal from the Patriots.
While Tom Brady may be the star quarterback of the game, Jared Goff will apparently help his team land two late-game passing touchdowns for the Rams along with Robert Woods, while also taking an interception.
I kind of preferred the older simulation videos where we were better able to see exactly how the game played out and what sort of plays would lead to the team's victory (or loss). Sometimes the Madden NFL games were scary accurate in how they would depict a game to play out, from early leads to late-game comebacks, to last second scoring, it was pretty impressive how close the games would simulate the Super Bowl to real life events... before they happened!
Even still, a lot of people are actually excited about the upcoming game and think that the Rams have a good shot at taking home the victory at Super Bowl 53. The question is, which game will prove to have their prediction come true? Super Tecmo Bowl or Madden NFL 19? We'll find out this Sunday.
