Blend Games is going to go out on a limb here and assume you don't want to see the Max Payne movie. On the off-chance that's true, you don't have to worry about missing the new trailer for Alan Wake being shown before the film in theaters. We've got it right here.
Wake, coincidentally developed by Payne game studio Remedy Entertainment, is a "psychological action thriller." After his fiancée goes missing, best-selling horror author Alan Wake goes to a sleep clinic in small town Washington to treat his insomnia. That by itself would not be all that fun of a game, but then things go crazy: Wake meets a woman who looks like his fiancée and the town begin to transform into his latest horror book. Ruh roh.
The trailer presents the game in a sleek, cinematic style that suggests that Remedy will have silver screen aspirations for this game from the get-go (as with Payne). No release date for the game has been set but it will debut on Xbox 360 and PC.
