Alan Wake And More Join GOG Summer Sale
Gaming on the cheap shouldn’t be a problem this summer, so long as you have a half-decent computer and a GOG account. The digital distribution service has today kicked off its “2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale,” offering deep discounts on several titles.
Everyone loves discounts, especially when those discounts are available on games like Alan Wake, the original Fallout and System Shock 2, all considered must-plays for anyone trying to build a proper gaming education. Classics old and new, there’s a little something for everyone, no matter your tastes, through the GOG summer sale.
Fist up is the “Wide A.Wake Bundle,” a cleverly named collection including the core game and the “American Nightmare” DLC for 90 percent off. That moves the price from $44.98 to just $4.48. The “Definitive Dungeons and Dragons” collection is 80 percent off, offering games like Planescape: Torment, Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2, Demon Stone and more for just $21.10. Those bundles are only good for a single day, leaving you just about 20 hours to act as of this posting.
The remaining nine games in the promotion don’t come with a timer, so I’m assuming they will remain available throughout the week with one or two new “big” discounts popping up on a daily basis. Don’t quote me on that, though. If you see anything you like, you might want to act with a quickness, just in case. Following is a list of the rest of the discounted games currently available. For more information or to purchase a copy for yourself, just head on over to GOG.com. And don’t forget to check back regularly throughout the week to see what new discounts become available.
-Fallout ($4.99)
-Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri ($2.99)
-Resonance ($4.99)
