Best Buy and Toys R Us are putting out feelers on the used games market and it seems online retailer Amazon is joining them. They've set up a new section of Amazon.com encouraging customers to trade in their unwanted games.
The launch of the trade-in service is accompanied by a special deal: if you trade in a game through Amazon's service before March 19th, you can get a 10% discount on the purchase of a video game or video game accessory. Trade-ins work like this: you print a shipping label and packing slip, package your games, and then send them to Amazon. After the games are received by Amazon, your account will receive an Amazon.com Gift Card.
Note that your shipment of used games must total $10 or more. Also, they're only accepting games from PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Xbox, Wii, GameCube, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and Game Boy Advance. They're not gonna be giving out nickels for your old SNES games - this ain't Funco Land.
