New Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition Screenshots Aren't Very Impressive
In the plethora of new content leaked, streamed, spilled and splooged out for the Wii U today, some of it has been impressive and others have not been very impressive. Joining the ranks of the latter category is Warner Bros and Rocksteady's upcoming Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition for the Nintendo Wii U, in which case the game looks quite dated and doesn't really come up to par, visually.
I suppose it's a little unfair to say that the game isn't that great looking after recently seeing the newly released ZombiU screenshots. Now that game looks amazing. The problem with Arkham City Armored Edition is that the latest screenshots kind of confirm what other websites have already been saying since E3 earlier this year: Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition looks worse on Wii U than it does on PS3.
The latest screenshots reconfirm what everyone was already saying, which leads me to believe that the end product will simply not look as good on the Wii U as it did on the PS3. I don't even think it's worth mentioning how the game stacks up to the PC version. That's like comparing vice presidents by naming the douche bag antics of Al Gore to the douche bag antics of Dick Cheney...the latter is so far ahead in that category that all you can do is smile, wave and admire the gap in quality.
You can check out the three new screenshots for Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition below, but I'm warning you right now that you won't be very impressed. If you're planning on buying the game it would probably be best to blindfold yourself whenever media assets surface so that you don't respond with “Ew, why would I buy a year-old game that looks worse on a newer console?”
