With only a few days to go until Batman: Arkham City's debut, Warner Bros. has released the launch trailer. The trailer explains just how big of a problem Batman has on his hands in this game.
The titular "Arkham City" is the new home for Gotham's most dangerous criminals. It's a section of Gotham that has been walled-off and surrounded by armed mercenaries. Inside the walls of this prison, though, criminals have free reign.
Batman is forced to enter this nest of criminals in order to rescue Catwoman. She's been captured by Two-Face, who plans to publicly execute her. In order to save his sometimes-ally, Batman will be forced to face off against many of his most dangerous foes, including the Riddler, Mr. Freeze, the Joker, and the Penguin.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Arkham City arrive in North America on October 18th, and elsewhere in the world later in the week. The PC edition is due in November.
