BigPoint Has More Registered Users Than Xbox Live, PSN And Wii Users Combined

While PSN has near 77 million registered users, Xbox Live has around 25 million and the Wii, with potentially 80 plus million units in homes today, none of them compare to the amount of users getting it on with BigPoint Software who has a whopping 200 million registered users.
Heiko Hubertz, founder and Co-CEO of Bigpoint.com commented in the press release, saying…
“This is another major milestone that our company has achieved in a short period of time,” …. “It shows that members of our community recognize our commitment to delivering high-quality games and online experiences, and we want to celebrate that.”
Take note that most of the number comparisons are a bit moot because of the simple fact that most people make multiple accounts for free services, and this even applies to the Xbox Live’s Silver Service options. So with BigPoint, you’ll probably want to take that 200 million with a grain of salt. I’m sure the real number is somewhere between 75 and 125 million, which still isn’t bad at all.
Still, some of you are probably wondering how the heck BigPoint became such a global name in online entertainment? Simple: Battlestar Galactica Online, Farmerama and SeaFight. They also have upcoming titles like The Mummy Online and Drakensang City to help flesh out their casually addictive portfolio.
