Irrational Games' BioShock Infinite is finally coming to the Mac this month. Aspyr Media announced this week that they'll be releasing the Mac port on August 29th.
BioShock Infinite takes place on the sky-city of Columbia. The mercenary Booker DeWitt has infiltrated Columbia in order to rescue a mysterious woman named Elizabeth. In order to extract her from the city, he'll have to fight through two armies and a robotic monstrosity known as the Songbird. During his time with Elizabeth, he'll find out more about her past and her shocking time-space abilities.

The Mac version of Infinite, like its PC counterpart, requires you to have Steam. When you first install Infinite, you'll have to authenticate through Steam's servers once. If you own the Mac version, you'll unlock the PC version and vice versa.
Aspyr Media will be bringing all of BioShock Infinite's planned DLC to the Mac as well. If you pre-order Infinite through GameAgent, you'll get the Columbia's Finest DLC for free at launch. This downloadable content gives players 500 Silver Eagles (the in-game currency), 5 lockpicks, two weapon upgrades and six ability upgrades. If you don't pre-order, you'll have to pay $5.
Last week, the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of Infinite received "Clash in the Clouds." "Clouds" provides new combat challenges that unlock extras for the in-game museum. Aspyr says that this content will be available on Mac close to launch, if not on launch day. They'll confirm the exact release timing for the DLC soon.
Mac gamers can also expect to get Burial at Sea, the new two-part campaign set in the underwater city of Rapture. No release date has been announced for that DLC on any platform.
