Irrational Games plans to release several DLC packs for BioShock Infinite after the shooter's launch. Today they announced that players can buy all this content in one fell swoop by springing for a Season Pass.
The BioShock Infinite Season Pass gives players access to three downloadable content packs. This DLC is said to add hours to the game. The press release mentions "stories" and "characters," so we're not just getting a bunch of lifeless challenge rooms.
The Season Pass is priced at $19.99. The three DLC packs are said to cost $30 collectively. The Pass gives you a nice discount, then, if you plan on buying all three. It's still a bit of a gamble, though, considering you don't know the exact content/quality of the DLC.
Players who purchase the Season Pass will also get the Early Bird Special Pack for no additional charge. This pack provides upgrades to your machine gun and pistol damage, as well as gold skins for these weapons. Furthermore, you'll give five Infusion bottles to allow players to boost their character's attributes.
If you're really into hoarding DLC, note that pre-ordering the game will also get you the Industrial Revolution Pack. This DLC provides players with an Infinite-themed puzzle game. It also includes three combat boosters, five lock picks and $500 in in-game currency.
