BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend Coming To PSV, PS3, Xbox 360
Aksys Games has announced that their prime-time fighting game, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend will be arriving for home consoles and Sony’s new PSV in North America and soon, all the hard-hitting, fast-paced action from the original BlazBlue: Continuum Shift will make its way over onto retail shelves near you.
For the most part, this isn’t really a new game but more like an Aksys version of the Capcom-rehash tactic sort of like Super Street Fighter IV or the Arcade Edition, containing all the standard stuff from the original game but with a few added additions, features, characters, moves and story elements. I suppose, the biggest part of the news is that it will be arriving for the PSV, and that’s mostly all that matters.
As for the new content that gamers will be receiving with this new edition of the popular fighter…expect to tread over the storylines from BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger but with a little bit of a twist. In addition to the standard stories from Calamity Trigger there will be four brand new scenarios available for players to battle through as well.
New, improved and revised game modes will also make an appearance in Continuum Shift, such as the Unlimited Mars Mode, the Abyss Mode and Challenge Mode. Of course, none of this matters as much as the competitive nature of the multiplayer online mode. The developers have added in a new team battle mode and supposedly improved the online battles for faster, smoother gameplay. You can’t really argue with that.
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend is slated to release simultaneously for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PSV. For more information on the game feel free to visit the Official Website.
