Broken Sword: Director's Cut Slices Into Google Play, Android Devices
One of the most successful, critically acclaimed adventure games is finally making its way to Android devices as Revolution Software announces the release of Broken Sword: The Director’s Cut for Google Play.
Already a success on iDevices, the Droid version of Broken Sword includes enhanced graphics and a digital comic that tells the story leading up to the game’s opening moments.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by fans asking—or just demanding—that we bring the game to Android, but didn’t just want to create a straight port,” said Revolution Software Managing Director Charles Cecil. “With the additional material we’ve been able to include, we hope that it’ll prove popular to newcomers to the series, as well as offering a significantly enhanced reminiscence to those that played the original.”
In Broken Sword: Director’s Cut, players take control of journalist Nico Collard and her partner, George Stobbart, in a globe-trotting adventure diving deep into the mysteries of the Knights Templar. A classic-style adventure game, players will talk to possible clue-givers, explore exotic environments, collect items and use them to solve tricky puzzles.
If you’re into games like Monkey Island or Day of the Tentacle, then Broken Sword will be right up your alley. It’s available now for Android phones and tablets from the Google Play store for $3.99.
