Sony closed out the special PS4 event tonight by bringing Bungie on-stage. The company showed off in-game footage from Destiny, the sci-fi shooter they've been working on since they parted ways with the Halo series.
Bungie confirmed at the event that Destiny is in development for both PS3 and PS4. Both versions will be available at the game's initial launch. The developer is preparing exclusive in-game content for the PlayStation editions as well.
In Destiny, humanity is on the brink of extinction. Players take on elite soldiers who travel the galaxy. You can read more about the gameplay and story in our write-up from this weekend.
Destiny is also in development for Xbox 360 and presumably the next Xbox. It's also possible that the game will come to the PC.
