Call of Duty Elite, the social gaming network that launched alongside Modern Warfare 3, is off to a rough start. Until they fix all of the major issues, Activision won't be releasing the mobile version of the network.
"Since we do not want to add even more stress to the back-end servers, we are holding back on launching the ELITE mobile applications until the service is stable and our players can easily access it," reads Call of Duty Elite's FAQ. "We will have the apps ready to launch as soon as we are comfortable the experience will be a great one, and will update with more information soon."
Elite allows players to find and create clans. It will also offer competitions for both individuals and clans. It's also designed to help players improve their MW3 skills, by giving them detailed analysis of their game stats as well as tutorials.
The launch issues from Elite stem from the servers being overwhelmed by players. As a result of the outages, Activision is extending one-year subscriptions by a month.
