Retailers have apparently outed the next Call of Duty. Both Tesco and Target state that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be arriving this fall.
Target's ad (below) says that Ghosts will launch on November 5th. Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 are mentioned as platforms.
Tesco's website, meanwhile, briefly had listings for Ghosts on both platforms, along with box art (above). The art confirms Infinity Ward is developing the game and that it's set in the modern day.
Activision has confirmed that a new Call of Duty is coming this year but that's all they've said so far. A voice actor suggested that the game is Modern Warfare 4 late last year. Activision promptly denied that, however.
It's possible that Ghosts links up with the Modern Warfare trilogy story in some way. Ghost was the name of one of main characters in the series. The soldier on this new box art seems to be pulling down a mask similar to Ghost's.
Activision tends to announce new Call of Duty titles in April or May so we should find out about this new game soon enough.
