Activision announced the third piece of DLC for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 today. The Overwatch map will be available to Xbox 360 owners with a premium Call of Duty Elite membership on February 21st.
"Overwatch drops you into a construction site atop a New York City skyscraper," Activision says of the new map. "The battle takes place along two levels in a near symmetrical layout, with the central bridge and side routes open to attack from multiple angles. Watch your every step, as a lack of safety barriers surrounding the perimeter leaves nothing between you and a 70 story fall to the ground below."
Modern Warfare 3 DLC is a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. PS3 and PC gamers will have to wait at least a month longer to get this map. The first two DLC maps - "Liberation" and "Piazza" - hit the Xbox 360 in January and will finally make their way to the PS3 at the end of the month.
If you're an Xbox 360 owner but don't have a subscription to Call of Duty Elite, you won't be able to download the map on February 21st. Instead, you'll need to wait until Activision compiles this DLC into a Content Collection. The first Content Collection will go on sale in March.
Activision plans to release at least 20 pieces of DLC for MW3 in total. March's DLC offering will include a multiplayer map Black Box and two Spec Ops missions called Black Ice and Negotiator.
