Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is finally coming to PC, nearly three years after its debut on consoles. The Ultimate Edition of Lords of Shadow will be available in digital and boxed form later this summer.
Lords of Shadow is a reboot to the series' storyline. Gabriel Belmont is a member of the Brotherhood of Light, a group of knights who defend the world against supernatural evil. He must battle the eponymous Lords of Shadow, a group that has cast a spell over the land to prevent the dead from resting peacefully. Using his chain whip and other items, Belmont will fight werewolves, vampires and other evils.
The Ultimate Edition of the game includes two add-ons, Reverie and Resurrection. It's said to run at 60fps with 1080p HD visuals. The game has cloud saves and Achievements through Steam.
Lords of Shadow developer MercurySteam is currently working on a sequel. Lords of Shadow 2 was initially announced for the Xbox 360 and PS3. However, today's news should give PC gamers hope that Lords 2 will launch on their platform of choice as well.
The Ultimate Edition of Lords of Shadow will hit Steam on August 27th. The retail launch will follow on the 30th.
