Coolest Debut Trailer Of 2010: Resistance 3
It’s that time of the year where end-of-the-year trailers make their appearance and gamers get all excited about what game gets awarded for what category that, realistically, doesn’t really matter. Nevertheless, it makes the developers feel like they accomplished something and it makes gamers appreciate the quality work developers put into the game. So with all that said, it’s time to award some of the coolest trailers of the year and we kick things off with Sony and Insomniac Games truly remarkable debut trailer for Resistance 3, which is also a live action trailer. This particular trailer, however, became a hallmark of what gamers should come to expect from the third outing in the venerable, exclusive PS3 franchise.
Neither the game nor the trailer features Nathan Hale, but instead a ragged band of survivors just trying to survive. It’s a long train ride set to the bluesy tones of an atmospheric southern tune. The intermixture of both CG and live-action sets the stage for being one of the most original and engaging trailers of the year, trumping many of its competitors in the debut trailer arena thanks to a steady build up of intensity to a very memorable, action-packed ending.
While many gamers may argue about which debut trailer was truly better between Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3, well…hands down, Resistance 3’s debut trailer was the coolest debut trailer of the year and to remind you why, you can check it out below.
