Coolest Live-Action Game Trailer Of 2010: Halo Reach
It seems like every year the live action category goes to Halo. Neil Blompkamp manages each and every time to create a believable live action universe for one of the most popular first-party shooter franchises in video game history. Of course, the latest live action trailer for Halo doesn’t disappoint called "Deliver Hope". This is an action-packed, haughtingly frantic trailer that doesn’t let up within its short run time and it’s for this very reason that "Deliver Hope" is this year’s number one pick for the coolest live-action game trailer for 2010.
The trailer isn’t quite as dynamic or as emotionally fueled as the landmark “We are ODST” live action trailer from last year, but there’s no doubting that “Deliver Hope” gets a little more emotional than Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’s “Ultranationalist” trailer or Medal of Honor’s “The Catalyst”.
A few people might also be impressed to know that not all of the special effects and set pieces for the commercial were CG oriented, but much of it was hand-made and constructed the old fashioned way…you know…before computers did all the work. And for that, Halo Reach’s “Deliver Hope” takes the spot as the coolest live-action game trailer of 2010. Check it out below.
