At the Captive 2011 event, Capcom announced an "all new Dead Rising 2 experience" was on the way. Dead Rising 2: Off The Record is re-interpretation of the Fortune City outbreak from the perspective of DR1 hero Frank West.
West, a journalist, is trying to get the scoop on the events in Fortune City. Off the Record adds new missions, enemies, and weapons in addition to reintroducing the camera feature from DR1. A host of technical improvements, such as load time optimizations and improved network performance, are also included.
Off The Record will be released in Fall 2011 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
