Dead Rising 3 Gameplay Trailer Features Knights With Lightsabers
Everyone loves a good zombie killing weapon, especially within the categories of shotguns, flamethrowers and... you guessed it, lightsabers. The newest video trailer for Dead Rising 3 sports some new vehicles on display, some new outfits for the character to wear and new custom weapons doing zombies in the way a pro-zombie killer would.
Dualshockers tossed up the new trailer that features the main protagonist, Mexican mechanic Nick Ramos venturing throughout the massive open world of Los Perdidos, California. That's a fictional town, by the way.
Much like previous games in the Dead Rising franchise, there are all sorts of wacky weapons, costumes and vehicles to interact with throughout the game, allowing players to experiment with their play-style and carry out some insane zombie kills.
The trailer really is a great showcase for all the versatility available in the game – it's highly unlikely that people who enjoy doing all sorts of silly things in open-world games would not like Dead Rising 3. In fact, it seems as if this game was designed for people with short attention spans, and that's not always a bad thing.
Plot-wise, it looks like the game could be pretty thin on anything coherent when it comes to the story, but that comes with the open-world territory.
The gameplay mechanics have also been further refined in the third outing of Dead Rising 3 to support for more over-the-top zombie kills, ridiculous fatalities and some of the most insane looking undead contraptions I've seen in a video game to date.
If you're looking for a leave-your-brain-at-the-start-menu third-person shooter for the next-gen consoles, Dead Rising 3 seems to fill that void.
