The next time you strategically dismember a necromorph, you might have some help. A new job listing by Visceral Games suggests that Dead Space 2 will have multiplayer.
The Linkedin wanted ad (spotted by Eurogamer) is seeking a "Senior Online Level Designer" for the "Dead Space Franchise. One of the primary responsibilities of the position is to "own the level design for the online game, be able to work collaboratively with Creative Director and Online Producer to create extremely fun, satisfying and polished multiplayer levels."
The original Dead Space for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 was a strictly single-player affair. However, Dead Space Extraction, the Wii-exclusive game released this fall, introduced two-player co-op to the series. Perhaps we'll get something similar in Dead Space 2. It's supposedly going to be released in 2010 and if so, we should be hearing more information about it soon.
