Deadpool Game In The Works At High Moon, Stars Nolan North
All right, so originally everyone thought that High Moon Studios, the same minds behind the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, were behind a new Avengers game. And then, another website popped up indicating they were working on a Hit Monkey game. But now, yet another website indicates that High Moon is actually working on a Deadpool game.
Over the weekend at the San Diego Comic-Con it was revealed during the Marvel panel that Activision will be publishing several marvel games, but the real meat and potatoes is that High Moon will be in charge of bringing the killer with a loud mouth to life in the game, starring Uncharted's Nolan North, the man who voiced Nathan Drake and also voiced Deadpool in an animated movie.
Digital Spy reports that the announcement came fast and furious during Marvel's panel, along with an awesome new trailer you can view below.
I'm definitely, sort of, possibly looking forward to this? I don't know, it was all CGI and looked funny and cool, and Nolan North does a hilarious job of bringing this guy to life (although his voice is becoming a bit ubiquitous these days in the gaming circles) so presentation and aesthetic-wise I don't think there will be a lot left to desire, but gameplay wise...well, I won't make any judgments until they show the regenerating health-bars and real-time gunplay. Until then, it's all media hype, baby...all media hype.
Deadpool is set for release in 2013 and fans of the movie will also be pleased to know that Ryan Reynolds will be stepping back into the shoes of the famed loud-mouth killer in a new movie. So, all is right in the world of headshots and boobies...or maybe it's supposed to be "all is right in the world of Deadpool fans and video game nerds". Hmm, no I like the first one better.
