Demon's Souls Is April's First Free Game For PlayStation Plus
April has officially begun, which means it's time to once again check out what PlayStation Plus will be bringing its subscribers for the next 30 days. For the masochists in the crowd, you'll be happy to know that this month's big free game is none other than the critically acclaimed and notoriously difficult dark RPG classic, Demon's Souls.
It's nice to see the RPG genre finally getting a little love through Sony's premium content service. While four older games are rotated out of the Instant Game Collection of the course of the next four months, four new games will be rotated in, starting with today's release of the painfully wonderful Demon's Souls. Along with Demon's Souls, today's PS Plus update will also feature a variety of discounts for games including The Walking Dead, Rainbow Moon and Soldner-X Sale. For more information on each of these sets of discounts, visit the PlayStation Blog.
Last month, Sony began letting gamers know at the beginning of the month what free games they could expect to receive through the next several weeks. That new tradition continues in April, so here's a rundown of the other free stuff you'll be able to enjoy later this month.
While most of these games have not been given an official “Plus date” yet, you can rest assured that you'll be able to add Malicious, Labyrinth Legends and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny to your Instant Game Collection sometime in the next 30 days. Zombie Tycoon 2 is also coming on April 30.
