Dragon's Crown Gets New Trailer, July 25th Release Date In Japan
It’s taken a bit longer than expected, but Vanillaware’s latest offering for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita is nearly here, promising hack-n-slash action mixed with some RPG goodness in an eye-bleedingly beautiful package known as Dragon’s Crown. The game’s got a brand new trailer ready for you to clap your peepers on that serves the double purpose of confirming a July 25 release date in Japan.
While Atlus has stated multiple times that there are plans to bring Dragon’s Crown to territories outside of Japan, nothing in this latest trailer gives any details on said plans. Released through the game’s official website, what today’s new trailer does offer is a nice, long look at various aspects of the game including the characters, snippets of story scenes and plenty of action.
Originally announced back at E3 2011, Dragon’s Crown was initially slated for release sometime in 2012. It’s pushed back quite a bit, obviously, and now won’t be hitting Japanese PS3s and PSVs until the middle of 2013. If you take a gander at the amount of detail in that above trailer, however, it should become clear why the upcoming multiplayer bash-a-thon has taken so long to get to market.
If, however, you prefer your game media to be of a more static variety, then you can also check out these latest screenshots posted just a few days ago.
