Dragon's Crown Screenshots Feature Visually Awesome Combat

A hand-animated game due out for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita called Dragon's Crown is slowly building up some media recognition as it nears release, whenever that happens to be. On the upside, new screenshots have been released for the game in the wake of an announcement that new details and info will arrive soon for the game.
PlayStation LifeStyle notes that Vanillaware has been hard at work on the game, and despite securing a publishing deal with Atlus, there hasn't been any word or promotional media content since last year during the game's announcement at E3. Thankfully, a few tweets from the designers indicate that additional news and info will be made available after March 21st.
In addition to confirming that Dragon's Crown has not turned into vaporware, Gaming Everything managed to get their hands on some screenshots that you can check out below.
It's worth noting that the game looks drop dead gorgeous and the hand-painted art-style and disproportionately curvy character designs continue to speak volumes for the originality and artistic divergence that sets Vanillaware apart from every other designer out there, at least as far as art-styles and visual design choices go. You might also remember that some of their previous releases included the well received and visually tantalizing Odin Sphere and Muramasa: Demon Blade.
I have no idea when Dragon's Crown will actually launch, but it is scheduled to arrive for the PS3 and PS Vita, presumably sometime this year. We'll keep you posted when more info becomes available.
