E3 2010: Mad Catz Announces AX 180 Wireless Headset

Mad Catz announced that their Tritton brand of gaming accessories will be releasing a new wireless headset for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 called the AX 180. Sadly, though, nothing in the press release indicates that unlike the AXPC there’s support for Windows 7.
Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz commented in the press release, saying…
“We are delighted to introduce this new wireless gaming headset which we believe will serve as an ideal debut to our new range of gaming audio products. TRITTON is a brand long synonymous with audio excellence and we are convinced that the combination of audiophile sound quality and wireless flexibility will prove enticing to gamers everywhere.”
The wireless base station allows gamers to utilize USB connectivity for PS3 use, as well as make use of the Xbox Live port. What’s more is that it has a Selectable Voice Monitoring switch, a 3D audio switch, and a portable control unit powered by batteries. You can learn more about this new headset by heading to the Official Website. The AX 180 wireless gaming headset will become widely available starting this September.
