Back in February, Sony mentioned that a Call of Duty game was in development for PlayStation Vita. Tonight Sony announced a few more details on the game, entitled Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified.
Declassified is said to feature "seamless online connectivity." Some sort of multiplayer is in the cards as well. It'll be launching this holiday season.
The fact that Declassified isn't simply called Black Ops or Black Ops 2 suggests that it's not based directly on either game. I'd imagine it shares the same basic premise, though. You'll be engaged in secret missions across the globes in either the Cold War or Black Ops 2's near-future setting. Maybe they'll even feature both eras?
Details are scarce now but that should change sometime this summer. After all, the fall's but a few months away now.
