
With E3 2011 nearly over, Entertainment Software Association has announced details for E3 2012. They also revealed some statistics about this year's convention.
“This year’s E3 propelled video games to the pinnacle of the entertainment world,” said ESA president and CEO Michael Gallaghe. “The industry’s innovation, creativity, and excitement combined to show the world the ultimate entertainment experience. The positive news generated by the event reached all parts of the world, and we are looking forward to building on this great momentum in 2012.”
The ESA says that 46,800 people attended this year's E3. There were 200 exhibitors presenting their products. There were representatives from 106 countries at the convention, compared to 90 in 2010.
E3 2012 will run from June 5th to 7th. It will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
This year's E3 was the usual bonanza of news. Nintendo announced the Wii U, Sony named and priced their handheld, and Microsoft revealed Halo 4. Head here to check out all our coverage of E3.
