E3 2012: Lifeless Planet Trailer Is A True Showcase Of Sci-Fi Exploration
We don't get many exploration-type games; games where you end up somewhere mysterious and you just explore and try to figure what's really going on. The last game that gave us that kind of freedom was ThatGameCompany's Journey, and it managed to become the fastest and best selling game on PSN ever.
Lace Mamba Global and Stage 2 Studios has unveiled the official E3 2012 trailer for their upcoming sci-fi exploration title, Lifeless Planet. It seems indelibly fascinating and fans of science fiction who enjoy the art of discovery will definitely want to add this game to their watchlist. Check out the new video below, courtesy of GameTrailers.
I'm definitely finding that some indie games are definitely stepping outside the box and the best part about this game is that it didn't need Kickstarter or IndieGoGo to get off the ground.
Of course, this is just a teaser promotional trailer. There's no way to tell if this game will be a legitimately fun experience, but the concept nonetheless has me intrigued and I'll definitely keep an eye on this as it develops. The idea that you land on a planet that's supposed to be lifeless but resembles Earth definitely leaves the door open for a ton of possibilities. I sure hope this game doesn't disappoint.
The game is set for release exclusively on PC. You can learn more about this title by paying a visit to the Official Lifeless Planet Website.
