E3 2014: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Looks Amazing, Coming 2015 For PS4
Everyone wanted at least two games to drop in some form or fashion at E3 2014 at Sony's conference. Two games. Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian had to make an appearance in some form, fashion or way. Sadly, only one game answered the call of E3's duty.
During Sony's E3 2014 live stage conference they unveiled the sequel to Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception called Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, following up on an earlier announcement that the game was coming. The game is set to arrive exclusively for the PlayStation 4 in 2015.
Sony didn't just announce the game with a release window, they announced the game with a teaser trailer that is bound to cause a lot of gamers watch it, gasp and drop a rock. See it for yourself and judge.
Good goodness that looked amazing. What really gets to me is that the trailer was prefaced with “captured on a PlayStation 4”. Unbelievable.
Did you also notice that Nathan Drake now looks somewhat like voice actor Nolan North? That's pretty funny. It definitely gives North some screen presence and adds a lot to the overall presentation experience.
I also wonder if they'll start doing that now for leading characters in video games? Barring the likes of Kevin Spacey in Call of Duty, of course.
But could you imagine if Troy Baker was actually laser scanned into the next Mass Effect game as a love interest? Man, he would take over the internet thanks to fangirls and make every average guy out there feel like a sack of potatoes.

Anyway, we don't get to see much, or know much, or get much information regarding Uncharted 4 other than that it's coming in 2015 and that Sully and Nathan will be back to their old hijinks for one last good run.
If this truly is the last Uncharted title featuring Sully and Nathan, it's cool that it's going out featuring the likeness of Nolan North. The guy has put in a lot of time and effort in the voice acting space and he really is the charisma and personality behind the lovable and well-known icon from Naughty Dog, so it only makes sense that he gets a little bit of a visual pay-day in the form of visually representing the much-swooned after and very likable every-man known as Nathan Drake.
You can look for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End to launch next year for the PlayStation 4. If it looks the way the trailer portrayed (and I don't see why it wouldn't) gamers will be in for a real treat. I can't wait.
You can keep an eye on the official Uncharted website for more info or check out Gaming Blend's own E3 2014 information page to stay up to date on all things E3.
