EA Slashes Prices On PC Games
Not content to let everyone else have all of the holiday discount fun, EA games have been drastically slashed on Origin, with limited time deals scheduled through the holiday.
Keep in mind that when I say “the holiday,” I'm talking about the one that's so close it could bite you on the nose, and that's the end of it. While many of the season sales run through the end of 2014, you've gotta act fast on this Origin shindig, as it's set to end in about three and a half days, as of this writing. If my math is correct, that puts the clock running out at about 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, Dec. 27. For a better idea of how much time you actually have, just check the ominous clock at the top of the Origin main page, quickly ticking away the second leading up to these deals' demise.
It may seem like this here Origin sale is a little late to the party when compared to other similar promotions that started a week or two ago, but it's actually pretty wise timing on their part. Lots of folks get cold, hard cash-ola for the Holidays, and that means that you'll have approximately two days following Christmas to blow it all on a bunch of EA games. And, considering the price cuts to some of these titles, that's probably a pretty sound spending decision.
For the record, there are far too many EA games being discounted in this sale to list all of them here, so you'll want to hit up that original Origin link in order to see the full list. We're going to cherry pick some of the standouts here for you, but this list won't include all of the games and DLC being discounted into the weekend.
We might as well start out with the big one: Dragon Age: Inquisition. What many are calling the game of the year is front and center during this EA Origin sale, going for just $39.99 all told. That's the same price you can pay for FIFA 15, too.
Even cheaper are The Sims 4 and Battlefield 4 Premium Edition, which will set you back just $29.99 a pop. The vanilla version of Battlefield 4 is just $14.99, with its predecessor, Battlefield 3 dropped down to a single damn dollar.
Hey, have you played Titanfall or Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare yet? No? Well they can be yours for just $9.99 and $7.49 a pop. The Titanfall DLC Season Pass has also been discounted, marked down to $18.74 for all of that additional content.
