Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon Extra Co-op Info Released

The new Earth Defense Force is almost here and anyone remotely curious about how the bug squashing will go down with the cooperative modes need not fondle their curiosity any longer, for D3 pumped out some extra details and assets detailing the co-op modes in the game. In fact, D3 Publisher released new info today on how gamers will be able to play EDF with friends and stomp a hole in those alien insect invaders.
In addition to the multiplayer online cooperative modes that allow up to six players to battle the over-sized bug infestation, there is another local cooperative mode available that allows players to play via split-screen with friends. In addition to this, weapon drops have been re-introduced along with 300 operable weapons for players to use, abuse and dispose of as they see fit.
The game is scheduled to release in early spring of 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and will retail for only $39.95. You can learn more about Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon by visiting the Official Website.
