The Elder Scrolls Online Trailer Previews Oblivion
A new trailer has been released for the upcoming, highly anticipated MMO set within the Elder Scrolls universe, The Elder Scrolls Online. The game takes all the tried and true theme-park designs and combines them with the longstanding mythos of The Elder Scrolls, finally giving gamers everything they've been craving: World of Warcraft gameplay with steeped Helm's deep with an Elder Scrolls storyline.
While the theme-park setting means that gamers can no longer explore where they want when they want, and you can no longer kill any NPC you want or make relationships in any form you want, the aesthetic is still very much Elder Scrolls, which means you get all the standard-fare content from the usual Korean theme-park MMO but a story crafted to suit the needs of long-time fans.
The game has all the standard classes, embraces non-targeting gameplay and gives you everything you enjoy out of the theme-park MMO experience, including preset quest lines that reset for each new player, a static world that doesn't change unless there's a patch or expansion pack, and non-dynamic map layouts.
Gamers have been really excited about an Elder Scrolls MMO and Zenimax and Bethesda are finally delivering. Beta sign-ups are currently underway and you can join in on the action by paying a visit to the official website.
