Bethesda Softworks revealed this afternoon that they've wrapped development on their massive RPG Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. They'll release it worldwide next week as planned.
"It’s done!!!" reads a new post on the Bethesda Blog. "We’re pleased to announce that after more than three years of hard work, the team at Bethesda Game Studios has completed over 20 versions of Skyrim — across multiple platforms, languages, and countries. That’s right, Skyrim is officially gold!"
The dev post noted that the Skyrim team celebrated by drinking golden mead. They've got a slideshow of the celebration over at the blog.
Skyrim will launch on November 11th, 2011. I'm sure they're happy that they didn't have to delay the game past that tidy, easy-to-remember release date.
