Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim features over 70 voice actors delivering more than 60,000 lines of dialogue. Today Bethesda revealed some of the big names they've signed for the game's cast.
Emmy Award winner Christopher Plummer plays Arngeir, a Greybeard elder. The Greybeards are a group of reclusive philosopher monks who live at the top of Skyrim's largest mountain. They're said to be masters of the "Way of the Voice."
Max Von Sydow, the man I most often confuse Christopher Plummer with, will play Esbern. Esbern is one of the last surviving members of the Blades, a warrior society charged with protecting the Emperor. He will teach the player how to defeat Alduin the World Eater, a dragon at the heart of Skyrim's plot.
Tony Award winning actress Joan Allen will play Delphine, another member of the Blades. She'll assist the player in figuring out why the dragons have returned. This is the first video game Allen has lent her voice to.
Lynda Carter, Wonder Woman herself, is taking on the role of Gormlaith Golden-Hilt. Gormlaith is one of the Nord heroes who battled the dragons in ancient times. Presumably she's a spirit or just old as hell.
Rounding out the cast are Michael Hogan (“Battlestar Galactica”), Vladimir Kulich (“The 13th Warrior,” “Smoking Aces”), Claudia Christian (“Babylon 5”), Diane Louise Salinger (“Carnivale”), Renee Victor (“Weeds”), and George Coe ("Transformers: Dark of the Moon," "Saturday Night Live").
“It’s been incredible to have all these actors together,” said Todd Howard, Game Director. “When you start a project, you always make your wish-list of actors, and to actually hear them in the game, it’s amazing. We can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”
