Exclusive: LucasArts Still Making Indiana Jones Game

Rumors about the uncertainty of LucasArts’ future as a developer has put into question whether the new Indiana Jones game would be canceled or moved along to a new dev. I got a call earlier this afternoon from CB Head Honcho Josh Tyler who has just spent some time with the fine folks behind Lucas…uh, stuff. Amidst a little time with Force Unleashed and some movie watching he also got a glimpse of concept art for the game.
According to a LucasArts employee the artwork is for the upcoming game. This isn’t explicit confirmation that the game is still on, but of course it was also never canceled. If the concept work is still up, and sitting next to Force Unleashed art, I think we can take it that the game is still on its way.
So what does it look like since we last saw screens? Unfortunately Josh was getting on one of those fancy flying machines, and likely preparing to imbibe some scotch served by busty blonde stewardesses. All he could tell me was that Indy is in some sort of diving suit thing. Confirmation! Indiana Jones likes to swim under the water in video games.
We’ll have more on this, as well as hands on impressions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, when the big man gets off the plane and is carried home by his minions.
